There is no charge for any of the Youth Activities except admission to the Horse Fair: $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for ages 6-13, and 5 and under are free. Weekend passes are also available: $20.00 for adults and $12.00 for ages 6-13.


This judging qualifies as a 4-H judging event, but is open to who ever wants to participate. There will be three different age groups; Beginner (10 and under), Junior (11-13) and Senior (14-18). Four classes will be judged and Beginners will give check reasons on one class, Juniors will give oral reasons on one class and Seniors will give oral reasons on two classes. Awards will be given to Grand and Reserve Champion Beginner, Junior, and Senior Individual.

This contest is one that is open to anyone who would like to participate. There will be two different age groups; Junior (13 and under) and Senior (14-18). There will be a written test, eight identification stations and a team problem. If a youth would like to participate, but does not have an entire team they will be grouped with other individuals to form one for the team problem. Awards will be given to the top three teams and individuals for both Juniors and Seniors.

Open to all youth and parents to fulfill the SD Horse Safety Training required for members in the 4-H Horse Project or simply those wanting to work around a horse safely.

Kids come to the trade show area to groom and train your stick horse. The show will be in the main arena so you can ride your horses in front of the audience. Selected judges will be on hand to choose the winners and prizes will be given.
